Hey what's up superhonda! Just signed up, kinda getting tiered of the people on HT so i'm trying this place out.
My car was given to me for free by my moms boyfriend, all I had to pay for was to get the title transfered. The only problem was it had
a snapped timing belt. This is my first honda, I was always a DSM guy. I built a 458whp Eagle Talon AWD. It ran 11.3's. I loved it, but too many problems
and I was gonna move on anyway, but getting this teggy for free helped me move on a little faster lol. Many many more pictures will be up soon!
Piecing together everthing I need to completely build an LSVTEC.
B16 PR3 pistons, Shotpeened LS rods, with ARP rod bolts.
Getting supertech valves and springs for the head
The latest addition, should be on and running soon, it came with an OBD1 PR4 Crome'd ECU, Tapped oil pan. Basically it's ready to bolt right on, just need oil feed and return lines.
The head I bought the other day, got my 301 cams in it.
After a year of messing with this thing trying to get it started, this was the very first startup in 3 1/2 years, it sat at my moms boyfriends house for 2 1/2 years The integra finally started! - YouTube
Got my idle set right, these cams are sooo lopey. I love it!!

I was thinking that about the pistons but people have been saying that PR3's love boost. IDK... The turbo is a Godspeed 50 trim, I don't know how good godspeed turbo's are, but I have heard good things about their intercoolers and such.
Godspeed is a nice company. I couldn't see a name, I was suspecting it to be an eBay turbo, lol. Glad to see it isn't.
The PR3 B16 is boost friendly. But strapping those into an LS or LS/VTEC brings the compression ratio up to around 11.4:1CR with the LS head. The VTEC heads bring that compression up even higher. Plus the are cast pistons, which aren't the strongest out there. The stock LS pistons would work better with boost, and can handle up to 300whp.
Cool thanks for the info man, I appreciate it. And I would NEVER use an ebay turbo lol. The guy said that the wastegate and bov are "Turbo" brand, I have never heard of them, I was planning on replacing them with Tial anyway. And I'm going to be keeping the LS pistons in there for a while while I build the LSV on the side with a seperate block. The PR3's in an LS block with a VTEC head take the comp. ratio up to 11.6:1. I should probably just keep the LS pistons in there, but I want to squeeze out all the power out the LSV that I can on a conservative tune. But after your comment, I am really second guessing using the PR3's...
So right now your running a cammed LS, but you want to run a turbo LSV?
I dont really care for HT either, the only tech articles they have are basically found on any other Honda site, and it seems like theres alot of ricers and such over there. Youll find alot of good articles at SHO and very informative people.
Thanks enjoitharex. And yea HT is just nothing but people bashing other people, mad drama, and people that get in stupid arguments because they think they are the know it all of honda's.
Damn this is a good lookin build, That's the hook with the new wheel on the DA right off the back,
Have you considered just building a solid ls? and turboing that?
you'd have to be careful with the boost on that high compression,
have you messed with the crome tuning?
i'll be getting that soon
Thanks enjoitharex. And yea HT is just nothing but people bashing other people, mad drama, and people that get in stupid arguments because they think they are the know it all of honda's.
I just came here from HT after being banned for a month for too many insults. When I get insulted by the know it all's that say my knowledge is lower than theirs because I have to use ALLDATA or mitchell and the mods dont do shit to stop them from doing it.
This forum seems much more unified where members of HT have a on going pissing contest of who's ways of doing testing or repairs are better and set in stone as the only way to do it. If you try to state other wise you get a group of flammers and shit talkers insulting you and never being banned for it.
I like the format of this site better as well and clean da9 OP wish I didnt live in cali so I could turbo mine and smog it only thing CARB legal is jackson racing's supercharger for the b18b1 lol
