I have the diskette, but how do I show it to you? Injectors are of H22 VTEC Twincam, ignition timing 15, fuel pressure is normal, compression is about 10%, cam gear was at 108 degrees.
My mechanic say he messed up with the cam spec, the calculated 108 when the valve is not lifted. Actually, should be 108 when valve is at 1mm lift. He said this is the main culprit.
On coming monday, he's gonna tear the engine apart and rebuild the engine. I requested him to recheck all the main bearings, torque of conrods, crankshafts & etc, maybe it will affect free revving if its tightened too tight, right? He'll use the clay method to set the cams to exactly nearest to the pistons at full lift to optimize the power.
He said this is necessary because jun3's are very difficult to set, is it true?
Is it necessary to set the valve nearest without touching the pistons to actually gain the power of jun3's
Is what he's doing right?
