Chipped ECU and it stil won't rev right HELP PLEASE
OK a while back i bought a DIY chip kit, I installed it it was supposed to make my rev 8500 and it only revved to 7600 or 7700 so i ordered another chip and chipped it today and it only revvs to 8 grand i installed it to spec and it still only revvs to 8 grand.....is there any reason for this THANK YOU for all your alls help and PS where should i install my aftermarket temp guage

why the hell do you want to rev your bolt on's b18b to 8500? and why do you have your cams adjusted like that?
the car is tuned for that the ecu won't run like it's supposed to though how would you tune the cams/gears it's a drag car it's not street driven...if i blow it up it's ok i will just rebuild it with a gsr head build the block and boost the shit out of it!
there is no such thing as a plug and play chip (if you want it to work correctly). get an ecu with crome, hondata, or something similar, and GET IT TUNED correctly.
there is a reason that engine has a red line where it is. unless you have upgraded your valvetrain. dont mess with the rev limit. even though you can rev it that high doesnt mean your going to make power at those high rpms anyway.

mo i got it from this guy who fabed it for me with his chip burner but were going to have it chipped at a race shop and make it tuneabe by laptop and then boost it!
