Clutch Life?

How long does the original clutch normally last on an integra? I have a 94 GSR that just turned 100,000 miles, and it still has the original clutch. I have owned other hondas (CRX and Accord), and the clutches seem to only last about around 70,000 miles, and I drive my teg harder than previous hondas owned. Does anyone know the life span of a stock clutch that is driven normal most of the week and punished over the weekend??

Mine is slipping after nearly 50k, but I think my 65 shot was the main culprit

The service limit on a factory clutch disc is 6.0mm or 0.24in on the clutch disc thickness. The Sevice limit from the lining surface to the rivets is 0.2mm or .008in. The pressure plate service limit is 1.15mm. The only problem with this is to inspect the clutch and pressure plate using the Acura replacement guidelines you need to remove the clutch in the first place. So at that point there is almost no point in not replacing the clutch after spending so many hours taking your transmission. Really the life of a clutch depends on how hard you drive it, and how you use your clutch, If you ride on it slip it frequently in stop and go traffic etc... A general rule of thumb is if it starts slipping frequently then you are best to have it replaced. The life of the clutch also depends on the mods you have made due to the more power you run the faster you will go through a clutch. OEM clutchs with a bone stock ride will last well into the 100K area with sensible driving. So if your clutch begins to slip you may want to start looking around for some deals on a new one.

My old car (1991 Civic) still had its orginal clutch when I blew the motor at 245,000 miles! Yet my new civic (98) the clutch already feels like it needs and adjustment or replacement. MUst be from the hard driving and traffic. When I replace it would it be too my benefit to get a heavy duty like Act? Thanx
