Clutch or what? - Honda Forum / Acura Forum

Just yesterday i was driving my car when the clutch felt like it had no pressure. The night before that I raced it, but it didn't feel bad that night. Sometimes before that happened when I would shift to third gear it would grind. Do I need a new clutch if so what kind would be good?

Do you mean no pedal pressure or do you mean it felt like it was not locking up to the flywheel?

How can you tell which one it is?

Is the problem that the motor seems to rev up without the car going faster? If so, the clutch is slipping.

This happened to mine a while back. It ended up being a leak in the master clutch cylinder. I would suggest taking it to the mechanics right away and don't drive on it cuz i drove when mine was like that and the next morning it wouldn't even start and i had to tow it. It ran me about $130 so it wasnt too bad.
