Cold air intake only?

are there any negative effects of having just a cold air intake?

will the extra air have any impact on the engine as the exhaust system is still stock...?

yeah, a cold airintake will make your engine explode

nah, jk

CAI are prefectly fine for your vehicle, because it is giving more 'colder air' to the engine, which means hp/torque gains. this is part 3 of the basic mods added to your car (others: intake & exhaust)

a recommended CAI would be from AEM...and purchase the bypass valve as well...you dont wanna gte water into your engine...

hope this helps,
peace

I agree with the AEM cold air, but i think the bypass valve is a waste. There was an optional recal on it becasue it got stuck in peoples throtle bodies. AS long as you dont go driving into a lake you will be fine.

After installing a good aftermarket intake your car will feel like it previously had asthma and you just cured it's ill.

Be careful of Hydrolock, it IS real and it IS a danger! If you drive safely and avoid deep pooled water you Should be safe.

Or you could just get the Comptech "icebox!"

Good luck,

A.
