Compiling Honda Specs and Performance for All Years

***PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD DIRECTLY. GO TO THE FORUM WHERE THIS TOPIC IS BEING DISCUSSED http://www.superhonda.com/forum/show...8#post1536138. Do not be mistaken; I am asking everyone to use one thread on one forum since it is easier to maintain everything in one thread.***

I looked around on the web and could not find complete model listings or performance specs for all, or even most, hondas ever made--

As for performance specs, this was the most complete list I could find (the data/model description seems inaccurate in some cases):
http://web.missouri.edu/~apcb20/times.html
or
http://www.supras.co.uk/performance/fiat.htm

As for listings of all models this is the most complete list I could find:
http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/?man=2864

Is there a more complete list for either of these? If so, let me know. If not, READ ON PLEASE! The problem is that these lists are incomplete in the years, models, and the performance for those models. What I am proposing is to compile a *complete* list of all models and makes with their related performance data, which I will maintain and post on a website.

The first stage of this project is to determine all the models made.
Stage two is to compile the performance stats which can be sent to me via email, plus the source (magazine or online) of the published stats. If no previous performance tests have been done on a particular vehicle, you can submit your own *stock* car times and performance data (maybe we will make an area for modified cars later--stage 3), and the averages (low, high, median, mode, etc) of all performances of all the submissions will be calulated for all submissions for each vehicle. For example, I had an '83 honda accord and I tested it for 0-60mph at 11.4 seconds; that time would be calculate with other users entries. I will maintain this on a website as soon as I have received sufficient information from you all.

My biggest problem is that I actually know very little about cars, so I need your help in organizing this project a little by adding comments and suggestions to the breakdown I have listed below.

Here is the beginning of the data I am recommending to compile. Please add suggestions TO THIS THREAD UNTIL APRIL 3rd (hopefully, that's enough time to get stage 1 organized). After that I will begin collecting information for stage two of this project via email/this thread, etc:

VEHICLE = Distinguishing Info (all fields required)
----------------------------
Year
Model (Accord, Civic, etc)
Engine Type (Vtec, SOHC, etc)
Cylinders (4, 6)
Version (dx, lx, lxi, ex, etc.)
Body Style (Coupe, Sedan, Wagon)
Doors (3, 4, 5)
Transmission (auto/manual)
Gears (3, 4, 5, 6)

What other information distinguishes the models from each other? check out the list below as possibly some of it belongs on the list above.

OTHER OPTIONAL INFORMATION
----------------------
Generation (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th)
Engine Displacement (liters)
Vehicle Weight
Drive Gear Ratio
Other ___?

I have thought about adding other specs such as wheelbase, suspension type, etc., later on.

PERFORMANCE (submit as many fields as possible. this will be stage 2 of this project, but tell me what should be added/edited on this list)
--------------------------------------------
top speed (published)
top speed (user submitted)
1/4 mile (published)
1/4 mile (user submitted)
0-60 (published)
0-60 (user submitted)
0-100 (published)
0-100 (user submitted)
horsepower (published) (how should this be listed/broken down?)
horsepower (user submitted) (how should this be listed/broken down?)
max torque (published)
max torque (user submitted)
Power to Weight Ratio

Anyways, lets get started!
