Custom Exhaust

Would i be safe if i run an exhaust pipe strait through under my gas tank, or would that be bad? if so, what can i do so that i can do it, such as make a heat shield with what? it's a '94 LS turbo. i kinda wanted to run it strait back then have one eblo to go to the muffler and have it angled a bit.

You will need at least .5" of clearance from the tank. I would reccomend 1".

However I do not reccomend the setup due to the fact that if a leak occurs, ortank/lines are punctured - you'll be in Deep Dirt! Literally!

Too low.. it'll scrape when you go over speed bumps..

i don't recommend this, just let the shop bend it its a safety precaution rather then performance issue......rather you risk your life or scarifice minimal performance.......if your that worried get a axle back that fits your disired custom'd exhaust or just schrew the custom exhaust and save up for a Thermal exhuast 3in all the way back.......its a hazard to you and others......
