why were you at 8100.. shouldn't be anywhere up there for normal driving.

that sucks man, ive seen it a few times, never pretty. this cat i was goin thru school with did the same thing, but it was a tt supra and he was whoopin up on an r1 on the freeway and just scattered his motor at like 175 mph. pretty shitty
has an intake, and exhaust and thats really it, i think the piston came loose from the rod and the damn dealership wont cover it becuz of the intake, its shitty, cuz i loved that car, i woke up in the morning 2 drive basiclly........and for the record, no misshift.came up 2 a stop sign, stopped then started 2 move, once it hit 8100, the worst noise, it wasnt a launch or anything, started out slowly and just kept goin, so if worst comes 2 worst, i can get a used b18 from my uncle for like 1200, hes in the auto bizz and he says he can get it at wholesale cost, but without any funds, 1200 is still a problem, but what i really wanna do it take EVERYTHING apart, and see what exactly is fucked, from what i can tell, the only shit thats fucked is the block, pistons rods and valves, i would rather just buy stronger peices then a stock peice, but any1 kno where i can get a used b18c block and how much it will cost? thats basiclly the biggest concern, pistons rods and valves im not 2 worried bout cuz u can find those just about anywhere
Is your crank alright? The crank and block choice are what is going to determine your rebuild, the rest should be fine. I wouldnt bother picking up that b18 for 1200, when you are only going to need a bareblock, pistons, rods, and maybe a couple valves.
Personally, i would buy a b20 block and make a CRVTEC--cheap and lots of displacement :clap
