Did you guys know that Honda S2000 insurance is cheaper than Integra. Fucking Supra TT is rougly $30 more (6 month period) than GS-R.
I did few quotes with perfect record and full coverage:
if you're under 25yr expect 950-1050 on LS
GS-R is $100-$200 (6 month) more than LS.
Fucking A...
If you're over 25yr they drop from $100-$150 off (6 month).
That's it.
What's up with this? #1 stolen car in USA or what?
if you yhink thats bad i pay 300 a month for a 2001 integra ls, but i gave a wreckless opp. on my record and thats 4 point.
thats the only moving viol. i have
with my record on an LS i'm paying $5,000 a year with liability alone.thats about $415 a month. If i had full coverage it would be $9,000 (about 750 a month). Welcome to Jersey baby, the highest insurance in the country.
My Record:
accum. 6 points in first 2 years of driving.(if this happens in Jersey it is manditory to take a driving class. and its not a Deffensive Driving course) after this class i had 3 points removed. now left with 3 points till one year after class, then they remove another 3. but if i get pulled over within that year my license gets suspended.
2 accidents at fault, 5 insurance points each.
then insurance gives 1 point for unexpierienced driver, wich is under 23 i believe.
so thats 17 insurance points, and 3 pionts on my license.

Have any of you guys shopped around for insurance, some places are cheaper then ohters. also if you are a student you should take drivers ed and try to pull a 3.0 or higher. Like someone already said, the reason for the high insurance is becuase the cars are stolen so much, also they are the most popualr car among the teenage drivers, so they are the most highly wrecked car on the road. But it is maily the stealing part. Here's an example, my car was just stolen this Christmas day, and they only found the middle section stripped to the frame, anyways... i talked to my insurance lady and she said that in just my town(80,000 people) 8 cars were stolen christmas day. 6 of those were either honda or acuras, that was just in one town. You think that this is bad Honda's and Acura's are the 2nd most highly stolen car, the number one is newer toyota camary's. Figure that one out. A couple of ways to lower your insurance is one to riase all your deductables to as high as they can go. If you live at home and your parents drive junkers or not highly stolen cars, then be insured on thier car and just drive your car every where. So we need to all slow down and find every thief we can and see how many cuts it takes before the human body bleeds to death, i want to shot for somewhere around 100,000. But hey thats just me.
I'm paying $900 for 6 months, perfect record for nearly 3 years, good grades too, did a special program for the bastards to lower it from $1050 to $900....
Meanwhile my mom pays $420 for 6 months for her Audi TT 225hp coupe, she's had 2 tickets in the past 5 years....
I hate insurance shit. I hate being part of the 'statistic' for young drivers and highly stolen cars. Why don't they start everyone off at the same rate and adjust it based on HOW YOU DRIVE and what kinda shit happens to your car??...
Oh and I wanted to see if there was cheaper insurance so I spent like an hour online getting quotes from Geico and Progressive.... Geico wanted $2822 for six months, Progressive wanted $4519. Same coverage as my plan now, perfect driving record still, over $9k a year.... Fuckers....

Gieco and Progresive are the smartest insurance companies out there! DO NOT even go with them if you are under 25 and dont have a clean record. What they do is weed out all the liabilties. For example: If a 19 male with 1 ticket and 2 wrecks calls up, they will quote him an ungodly number, why? becuase he is a liabilty(male, under 25, tickets, wrecks), they might acutally have to pay money on this guy. Now if a 45 year old male("responsible", kids, older) calls up who has kids(that are not driving) and has a spotless record, they will give him the best rate out there, Why? Becuase he is not a liablitly and they will most likely never have to pay a dime towards him, so they will just take his money and never have to give it back. This is why progressive gives quotes of 3 other companies, they weed the bad from the good(so to speak), to make more money for themselves. Try other companies, All state, American Family, State Farm, Farmers, etc.
The worst thing that you can have for insurance is your gender, it increases your rates by like 50-75% just for being a guy.
6 months... roughly $1500 with a $500 deductible...
2 points currently on my license... it should only be 1 point but i still have to verify that with DMV since i went to driving school to clear my first ticket... got a moving violation couple weeks ago and still havent gotten my ticket from the mail.... from farmers insurance to this AIG one from wells fargo bank.. ahhh stupid 'GSRs' placed in the sports cars category... ... hrmm

Remember that Progressive gave me the $4519 quote for six months after I had been driving over two years without an accident or a ticket or a theft. Perfect. I can't even imagine what the number would be if I had something on my record.
It's so dumb that being a male increases rates so much. Studies actually show that males get in about as many wrecks as girls, but the difference is that males usually are in single-vehicle crashes (sliding off the road, rolling over), while girls almost always tend to hit cars. Now let's see, which is more expensive to cover for the insurance companies?? Case in point: my mom in the past 5 years has hit two cars, my sister has hit like 2 or 3. Neither my dad nor I have hit anything, and the closest I've come has ALWAYS been almost sliding off the road.
