What does everyone think of this color (dark violet pearl)? Any pics? I can't decide whether I like it or not. In some ways I do, and in some ways I don't. They're very rare though. Only like 300-500 made...if I'm not mistaken.

It's officially called "Black Currant Pearl Clearcoat RP-25P"
(The 2000 Integra came with "Dark Violet Clearcoat PB-76P")
If you want more pics other than my sig, I can post more pics of my car both waxed and unwaxed.
I love it waxed, I love the flakes in the direct sunlight, it has a pretty wide array of the different colors the car changes in sunlight. Unwashed for a while, crappy day outside, it can look pretty flat purple.

I like it...but that's not the color I'm talking about. There was a color named "Dark Violet Pearl" that was made only on 2000 2-door GSR's, but not on any other trim or year.

Ah, you must be talking about the color I just added to my first post. My painter said he couldn't tell the difference between my RP-25P, and the 'DVP' PB-76P. I always get comments about my 'DVP' Integra because people think my "Special Edition" badge is the "GS-R VTEC" badge.
Do you have any pics at all of a real DVP you can post? I'd like to see the difference.

Exactly. Well, if they're that similar...would you mind posting some pics?

Thanks! That looks good. I'd like to see such good pics of some DVP's.
Why I'm asking all of this is b/c I saw one for sale, but want to know what it can look like. The one for sale is, sadly, somewhat dirty. I'm going to get a teg, but am not sure about the color.
This is the one for sale. I'm going to test drive it tomorrow. Hopefully I can sell my Civic quickly. I might have to lower the price for a quick sale if I like this teg enough. lol

Looks pretty good at a first glance. Sounds like you might be able to get your hands on a full vehicle history and maintenance too.

Definitely the same base color, but lightened more to the blue side. Mine is more to the red flaky side in direct sunlight. I think I like mine better, or if I had mine painted slightly darker.

I think you're right. It does look very similar. And, as you said before, the color changes a lot depending on the light.

D16y8- Are you sure that color isn't Super Sonic Blue Pearl (SSBC)? That would expalin why it's a touch more blue in the direct light.

I'm pretty sure. I could always be mistaken though. If so, it would only be those 2 pictures in the shop. But, SSBP should be much lighter than that. I'm sure about all the other ones though. Definitely DVP.
