exhaust issues...please help

this is my first time on this board, because i just bought an integra It's a completely stock 98 RS...nothing fancy--used to drive a 90' celica, until some lady lost control of her car and pushed me into the median :bh . Only paid 3000 for the teg--non vtec, but it came with 119,000 miles -- runs good tho..
N E way. I have a loud buzzing/humming noise in lower rpms 2-3.5, i took the car to meineke to check out the prob. turns out my resonator is broken and my cat is not working. i wanted to do a complete exhaust upgrade...looking at rs*r exmag (2 3/4) or exmag gt2 (2 3/8).
I'm not looking for a loud pipe, and which one would you say is better? and what cat should i get? also if i need a resonator, which would be my best bet?

A lot of people of here have the Apex Worls Sport exhaust and say it's not that loud. The R*SR one isn't suppose to be loud either. As for a cat, get something like a Carsound cat. It'll flow more, make a touch bit more noise, but you won't really be able to tell a difference in sound. It'll flow a lot better, though.
Are you planning to go forced induction ever? If so, you may want a bigger exhaust. Maybe a 2.5 inch system. Long term goals are good to look at when buying parts, so ayou don't buy the same thing twice. Save a bit of money that you can put to the next part.

i plan on goin with turbo...but still doing research...still new to everything. Someone told me, my car is perfect for a turbo application due to the low compression.

well i would say to go with the World Sport Apex, like it was said it's not a very loud cat-back, it's also excellent performance wise. I'm looking to make a purchase of the World Sport myself.
