exhaust question

I Have an integra ls i was looking under it and i was looking at the exaust system i was wondering what is that thing betwen the cat and the muffler looks like a canister of some sort can anybody shed some light on this?

i believe what you are talking about would be a resonator. helps to reduce noise.

if remove the resonator you'll just gain more noise

It definately obstructs flow. I noticed a differences with and without the resonator. It feels like a loss of low end. Highend feels the same though.

Without the resonator your exhaust will sound much more raspy, not the sound I like. The resonator is good to have, it smooths out the flow of your exhaust and it gives it a depper sound, without that annoying rapiness.

Sup autonomous R,
I got my hood shipped for 530. Installation was also a snap. I just put 2 coats of wax on it so its looks even nicer than the day I received it
