Exhaust question

Do the gen 3 integra's have resonators and should they be removed for a better sound when going with a new muffler, ie skun2, greddy, etc.? Thanks in advance as always.

If the exhaust you get is catback then it should be replaced anyway by its own. A universal one then it is up to you it would loud as balls without a resonator....

Of course they have resonators!

But idk depends on what system you get. Mine has a resonator. but you could remove it if you wanted i guess, it isnt that hard.

I'm not sure which removal it is, but it's either when removing the cat, or res., is when you can get that pissed off bumble-bee/gurgling exhaust note lol. So be careful.

Pretty sure it's the resonator. You can try playing with the length of it so change the sound.

I don't think takeing the cat off makes it gurgly. Althogh I kinda want to do it, but there is no shop that would do it leagaly.

easy solution, cat back exhaust+ test pipe. I think tsudo makes them now, it is a direct replacement for the cat and it all bolts together from the header back.

I am getting an ITR head first, but even if I did go with a test pipe, it gives me what, like 2 hp? IDK if it is worth whatever I would pay for it.

horse power is not everything, sure it will give you a couple but most important, engine response will also be improved.

And what about emissions? Because it is a direct replacement for the cat.

You just planning on rounding off the Intake/Exhuast system, or you have something else in the back of your mind?
