finished the swap
hey gueys, juss wanted to let everyone know that the b18c swap is all done. its was a long 3 weeks (weekends actually) and my startup warranty is over tomorrow. guess i cut it alittle close. thank you guys that supported me and helped with my questions. the car has alot of vibration until 2k from the mounts, but its worth it when i get to pass the redline on the gauge cluster and almost hit the end of the sweep of the ls tach. :clap i got some pics below of the swap and final product, enjoy!
p.s. im 15 years old if your wondering

old engine

old clutch

engine coming out

new engine goin in

jdm valve cover

semi ported exhaust ports
 final product

stock parts too, but modified take the top cover off your intake so the filter is just siting on top. if you want to you could also pull out the resonator but its not necesary. thats all i have as a modification to make that sound. you would be suprised at the diffence of sound it makes, really deep and throaty :clap. it might add a couple ponies from less air resistance, but it may not since some of the air has been pre warmed by engine heat. sounded really nice on my first test when i ran hoodless, which was that vid

I was thinking about doing it myself, but then after i took it to them one of the guys said that since it was going from auto to 5spd the cables or bars werent long enough so he had to do some welding (which i can't do) and also one of my motor mounts was busted!!!

thats cool, just make sure he wont jip you on anything. hmo stamp a small sign on three locations. one on the head (left side on the front), one on the block (right next to the b18c), and one on the tranny (on the top front, right below where the intake goes. make sure you find them and know thier there so when it gets back, you know they didnt rip you off with a different engine. good luck with your car!
it turns out that i am throwing a ks (knock sensor) code off the CEL. code 23. i have a helms and am trying to lock down on what the problem is. so far ive reset ecu, checked for a short in the wire, and checked for continuity from the sensor plug to the ecu plug. so far everythings been ok, so i probably have a bad KS. kinduh sucks becausei had to wire in the ks myself and thats what the only problem is.
on another note, ever since ive had the car, ive noticed ive had an out of the ordinary large stock muffler. it never bothered me, but the plastic on the rear bumper above the muffler has also been melted. i was wondering if this happened to anyone else. it juss doesnt seem right that an oem acura muffler would run that hot. starts to make me think the previous owner knew something about cars and maybe gutted the cat? hmmm....
anyway, pics below of the exhaust, enjoi!

No, i trust the place both of the head mechanics worked for Honda for like 20 years and are both ASE certifited and master techs, they know there stuff. He had me look at the engine when it came in and showed me that it was a true ITR engine, he even pointed out that it was the cleanest one he has ever seen. When it came in all of the hoses where brand new came with a Carbon Fiber spark plug wire cover, had a oil cap (he said most of the engines he has seen didn't come with anything good) the valve cover looks super clean.....
