Well heres my options, I just turned 16 and about to buy my first car. I'm looking towards a Honda Civic or an Acura Integra. I'm personally not sure which one to get, I just want a good car that will last me a long time, low maintenance, easy to mod, and good for street racing . Also once I decide on the car I'm wondering if I want to get black for the color, but not sure since how easily they can get dirty. Any information to help me would be greatly apreciated, also please tell me what model is best for each car (ie. Civic Si, Integra GSR). Thank you.

ya ...street racing is overrated...personally i think there are too many civics and integra's out there already, if i were you, i'd get somethin original...but oh well... civic si not necisarily the best.. a lil on the heavy side i believe...but what do i kno, i own a crx
First the color is up to you, asking a question like that will get you a million different answers with a million different reason on why and why not to get that color.
Any modification to a car will usually shorten it's life. With the exception of intake and exhaust. Either one will do well for what you want, as long as you take care of it
My personal thought is go with the gsr, but i am an integra biast. Any integra is a little nicer then the SI, but they are usuallymore expensive depending on year and condition.
Im looking to spend up to 11,000. Maybe a little higher, I'm thinking 11,000-13,000. (cool j4, I used to live in kansas, suburb of wichita, I lived in Derby)

yeah but it's not as goodas a GSR (my opinion) the LS comes with the B18B1 motor (non-vtec) whereas the GSR has a B18C1 whic has VTEC. Both are good but i would suggest a GSR.

With that budget, and good planning, you can make a very fast Civic hatch or a pretty fast Teg. On the hatch, you have the $ to do a swap or a swap and turbo. With the Teg, if you shop around and are careful, you could buy a car and add a turbo to the stock motor.
Obviously, the more of the work you can do yourself, the more you will get out of your budget.
Sounds good. But I looked at some of the dealerships around here http://www.pikespeakacura.com clicked on pre-owned inventory, then went to, browse entire selection, and selected acura integra. Found some pretty nice Integras, but all of the GSR's are above my budget. One in particular I was looking at was the 2000 black Acura Integra LS with 30,000 mi. for 13,250. Any opinions of what I should do? Should I buy the LS or keep on looking for a GSR, all of the GSR's I find are either to expensive, or have to many miles on them. Any recommendations? Thanks.
(Also I think E-Bay is out of the question, my dad is paranoid about buying a car over the net )

You have plenty of money to throw around for just turning 16. I would look around at the speedshops and maybe goto the import get togethers, you can usually find a nice car that already has some show and go to it for somewhat cheap. Theres a nice turbo'd gsr that was up here for real cheap. Well its up to you, but if I were you I would look around at the speedshops. Couple of my friends found nice cars there. Lata
