Can some one please tell me what wire is the ground wire on an 01 type r. I assumed ti woudl be black, but there are two black ones that have a white stripe with silver dots on it. the only difference between the two is that one is bigger(18awg) while the other is a smaller gauge(22awg). if anyone could help me i would greatly apperciate it.

why not just use a volt meter? put the neg side on the body of the car and the other on one of the wires, if you get a nice 12v reading you found the + wire.
could even attach wires to a light bulb if you dont have a volt meter.
