GAS problems

hey import fans. Just got my license few days ago but been dreamin bout driving for so many years. been fond of the integra for quite some while but for now im stuck with a 1989 geo spectrum. The gas meter seems to be dropping quite fast. It's suppose to get something like 31/35 mpg. I think the gas tank may be around 10 gallons which is quite small..but i dont remember the meter dropping that fastt. anyone know what i can do??? thanks apreciate nething

You're asking about a 1989 geo spectrum or an Integra?

If his gas tank is leaking then he probably shouldnt be driving it or he might die. But its probably because the Geo is such a crap car and its old its just not what it used to be.

lol...its been a few days and ive looked into research. basically i was askng before, what are the factors that could be makin me get like 100 miles on a tank rather than the 260 rating. i figure its the oxygen sensor since its only been 4500 miles since it's last major tune up. you guys think teh oxygen sensor can mess up the gas mileage that much... btw i have a cut intake hose i think. the guy at the auto store sed it wouldnt do nething but cause rough idling. ahh...i cant wait for an integ neHow. but this'll do fine as long as i get it fixed. also how hard is it to install an oxygen sensor. I was wonderin if i could just pull it out from the exhaust manifold.....anyways thanks for respondiN
