Getting into the Gauge Cluster?

I've got a 00 GS Integra, and I just switched out 3 168 ( 194 or 158 ) bulbs with 3 PIAA Xtreme White bulbs. The gauge looks okay now, not too much different than before except a little brighter but now I want to get rid or possibly replace the film in the gauge. How do I get to the film? Do I have to take out the screws in the back of the cluster or just pop off the two plastic pieces? Another thing, can I do anything with the needles? Are they painted or is it a film covering? Thanks!

Does anyone have some advice? Or would this be better off in the Electronics section?

I am referring to the film which makes the "Check Engine" Light red, if you take out the right bulbs and look closely you can see a film that makes the white light red. As for the needles could you quickly tell what to do with them? Or can I make any modifcation to them, i.e. paint taking off orange covering etc.? Thanks.
