Getting Stock Ignition...

I have a Type R with MSD 6AL, MSD Pro Cap, and MSD SS Blaster Coil. If I wanna go back to the stock ignition system (Cuz I think this set-up is hurting my car.) What would I need to get?

Stock Distributor Cap.
Stock Coil?

Anything else?
Also, where would the stock coil go?
Are the Type R and GSR Dist Cap and Coil the same?

The factory coil is internal and I doubt that it was removed it when you did the MSD install in the first place. I would guess that GS-R and Type-R are the same. So, get the factory distributor cap and rotor. See if that works, then pickup the internal coil if you need it. And you should be able to keep you MSD wires, except for the 5th external coil wire. Which you won't be needing anymore, anyways.

Thanks.

So I can go to the Dealer and get the Dist Cap and Rotor for a TypeR / GSR and just slap that on?

How can I check if the Internal Coil is still there or not.

You should be able to see the internal coil with the distributor cap off, but do yourself a favor and keep the wires on the old distributor cap until you have the new distributor cap on so that you get the right wires in the right plugs Atleast I believe you should be able to see the internal coil.

Thanks for that awesome input. Don't tell me you just came to this board to Bash on the Hondas... If so, we don't need you here. But if not, then welcome to SHO.

CGCivic... Uh... What does the coil look like? Haha.

Don't mind Nissan he's my buddy...

Now heres the best closest pic I can find this is ona DA integra which is really very very similar I mean I have a 00 ITR head with an OBD-0 B16A Distributor and distributor cap on it so its all really similar

heres the whole album which shows all the parts of the distributor with little labels that should help some http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291335445

How much do you think a new Dist Cap will cost me? Would I need a new rotor?

Most likely yes it means stock...you can check with your dealer...but its basically an exact replica of the OEM part if it isn't exactly OEM but its the same as OEM ya feel me?

Yup. Ha.

I'm gonna stop by the Acura dealer tomorrow and see how much it costs there. Then if it's around the same price as that site, I'll just pick it up from them. I'm on a super tight budget, so I need to save every freakin penny.
