Is this a good deal?

There is a local guy selling a 95 Integra GS-R it has 150k on the chassis, 35k on a rebuilt motor and less than 1k on the rebuilt transmission and mods include: Skunk 2 Stage 2 cams, Skunk 2 retainers & valve springs, Skunk 2 intake manifold, STR adj cam gears, Fluidyne radiator, B&M adj fuel regulator, motor mount inserts, DC sport headers, Apexi catback, AEM intake, Field VTEC & SAFC controller, Clutchmasters Stage 3, B&M short shifter, Skunk 2 coilovers, Skunk 2 front & rear strut bars. He is wanting 7k for it. Do you think its a good deal for it? He hasnt had it tuned or dynoed yet either, so roughly how much whp would it be making as of now untuned?

I don't think I would buy that for 7k....anywhere from 5500-6500 maybe.

As for WHP..i bet it runs pretty rough with stage 2 cams untuned. It's probably not that quick as it sits...but with tuning with the cams and all those bolt ons...probably anywhere from 160-175whp.

Not the fastest but definitely not a bore to drive...I bet it will put a smile on your face.

Its a really nice teg, and it is really either between this or a 92 lude with a jdm h22a i/h/e both are 7k though, but I think the teg looks alot nicer myself I dont know whether it's faster than the prelude though.

I havent driven it yet, so I dont know how well it drives. If it made 160-175whp after tuning about what would that translate in the 1/4 mile roughly?

you'd prolly get in the 15s, but that's where I live and from what I've seen with my eyes. And I am pretty sure its much faster than the prelude.

i cut a 15.2 with my gsr with just the aem intake, apexi exhaust and apexi gt header way back in the day...

with it all tuned up, i'm sure it'll dial in right under 15 flat or so.

the preludes that i've ridden in without any cam work rocks the 1/4 mile in the 14s with BPU

Most people have been telling me to steer away from modded cars, but the problem is with gas being as high as it is plus insurance and possible loan payments I wouldnt really be able to perform the mods myself, so I wanted to buy something already modded even if there is a greater risk with them and as of now I have 2 friends with preludes, and as long as I'm outrunning them I'm pretty satisfied

Well, the guy has dropped his initial asking price by a bit. Also, I've been doing some reading, and I read that since he is running skunk2 cams and the car most likely hasnt had the compression raised that he's overcamming the engine. Can overcamming be bad/hard on the engine?
