GSR noob

what up y'all.

i'm about to buy a 00 or 01 GSR.

no huge plans or anything, but i'm going to keep it pretty clean on the outside, no color schemes or anything, just keep it looking slow. thinking silver paint and just buying polished parts for it.

but HERE is my question:

are the angel eye headlights "cool"? i know certain trends come and go (i.e., gigantic tach) and i don't want to be the dork with last years headlights.

thanks for any input you may have.

Who cares if they're "cool" or not? Buy them if you like them, don't if you don't. If we were all going with what people think is cool, sorry to burst people's bubbles here but we wouldn't be driving 2-generation-old Hondas.

Me too on my LS. I didn't get them because they are cool - in fact, sometimes I'm a little ashamed of them because they're kinda ricey, flashy, and shameless-BMW-copying compared to the rest of my otherwise clean all-business car. But I think they look nice personally, so I got them.

i have them too on my integra, i like how they look rather than the oem milky white ones. it seems like alot of us actually have those. me personally, i have them on my car because the stock ones were cracked and new oems are expensive. dont buy parts that you think others will like, or else youll be making a car that others like. buy parts YOU like, and your car will end up how you like it.

I think they're cool as hell. Some "scene" kids might try and hate on you, but for the most part those headlights aren't considered overly ricey. And basically anyone who doesn't know about hondas will give you props, cuz those lights look dope. Do what you like.

lol.. If some kids try to hate on you, tell them line it up see why they hate??

I remember when i did my 99 itr front end conversion, and i put these on. And they started calling me a ricer and shit, i'm pretty old, and to be honest younger kids calling me names just doesn't amuse me too much, i asked for him to hook em...he had some hatch with a gsr swap.. thought he was fast. In any case he didn't want to run, i then told him dont make fun of shit you dont understand..

Just call em out on their bluff half the kids that make fun of us, dont even drive a car .

yeah, i can see jdm whores talking shit about them. if its not jdm its garbage to them, fuck that. i dont care where the parts come from as long as they do their purpose. i'm not gonna pay 3 times the price of something just because its from "japan" i'd rather use the extra money on some more parts.

Halos on integras FTW they are one of the few hondas that can pull it off with no problem, and there cheaper than new head lights from the dealer.
