gsr race

I know everyone is gonna get mad cause they didn't wanna look on how to help someone repair their car they wanted to hear bout a race, but this is the only way to get ppl to help me out..

on the gsr engine to the left of the intake manifold there is a mushroom cap and it has a vacuum hose and I think it leads to emission controls mine however is broke off.. can someone tell me what it is used for?? and if it matters? thanx for the help

ps

again sorry for the false title but on superhonda I find it funny how ppl that need real help they never get answered and ppl rather look at what ppl say when they race or pictures of car's
thats just my opinion all the help someone can give me is greatly appreciated thanx....

The mushroon looking cap is only found on GS-r engines....it uses some sort of vacuum to engage the dual runners only found on the gs-r manifold
