I think its refering to mating a b-series tranny to an h-series motor. Ive only seen that term a couple times

Yup, thats right. Theres an adaptor plate to mate a b trans to an H motor. The benefits are minimal- I believe the B trans can handle a bit more power and has slightly better gearing.

yeah everyone that ive known with a h series motor is constantly complaining about the gear ratio so thats the point of the h2b. also it makes it alot easier to bolt in to a b series car.

As an owner of both a b series and an h the B series tranny is 100000x better, even the ls. I wouldnt mind having a ls tranny in my lude at all. Altho the h tranny is alot smoother for city driving.

slightly? thats an understatement.
skunked on HT is running a JDM h22 with a head build in his 2400lbs dc chassis running 12.2's. Trying doing that with the H tranny.....

I've got two questions:
1.)Can anyone explain to me why this would be bad for autocross??
2.)Since I'm most likely gonna go through with this, should i just keep my ls tranny, upgrade the syncros? upgrade the gears (b16 3rd and 4th)?Fine, plenty fast stock?
If it helps i've gotta 90 DA
