my dumbass brother took my integra for a spin through the residential streets with the handbrake on (its an automatic but was parked on an uphill.) anyway, just wondering if any damage can occur cuz of that.
I think that the hand break works only on the rears, someone correct me if im wrong, so the only dmg that I can think of would be to your rear discs.... Also, it would not surprize me to know that your hand break would need to be tightened alot now... Check your rear disc breaks for heat dmg, scoring/etching, that sort of dmg...
1/4 mile shouldn't hurt it too much. At that distance you probably just wore on the brake pads a little and the e-brake cable might need to be tightened a bit - they need to be adjusted periodically anyway. Really easy thing to do yourself, don't pay a dealer to do it. If you need to know how to do it, let me know. But as long as the e-brake still works and you don't feel pulsating when you use the brakes (warped rotors) I'd say you're fine. Now go bitch-slap your brother. :clap

Under you arm rest console (you have to take it out) there is a weird looking device with two nuts at the end of two cables. Turn them and it will tighten up your e-brake. I don't remember which way tightens and which loosens, but you can figure it out from there.
To figure out how much to tighten, you'll need to do this:
1. Jack up the rear of the car, both sides.
2. Spin each wheel with the e-brake off, to observe how much drag there is naturally, with no brakes.
3. Pull e-brake lever up ONE click/ratchet.
4. Tighten e-brake cable nut (described above) until there is a slight drag.
5. Fully release e-brake lever and spin wheel to make sure there is no drag from the brake.
6. Lower the car back down and reinstall the center console.
To get the console off, with a flathead screwdriver pop off the small panel in the middle of the console (the plastic which surrounds your hand when you grab the handle in the down position). Underneath are two large Phillips head screws. Unfasten those and the black Phillips screw on each side of the console box (near the back of the box on the outside).

Well yeah I mean you can't tighten it infinitely, but there's quite a bit of room to play with.
