I would say, SMSP and Hytech are about the same gains, i actually beleive SMSP would push even more. And Hytech's price is WAY to spendy.
Cons to both of these are PRICE.
I dont know much about the IB's so im not going to post about them.
I would say JDM>DC and there both in good price ranges.
I just want to get your guy's thoughts. Im looking right now at both JDM and DC (pulling more towards the JDM)
SMSP>Hytech>JDM>DC

OK, well would you rather get a JDM intake or a DC sports intake? I know hytech and smsp are obvious answers.
But the JDM and the DC are in my price range.
JDM seem to all be 4-1 and DC I can get 4-2-1. Which isnt bad, since im thinking of n20 which i hear 4-1 is better for anyway.

Ok, next wall in my mind, The JDM Headers all have 2.5 collector, am i right? I have a 2.25 Cat-back exhaust. Should i either look for another brand with a 2.25 collector and get a 2.25 cat, or should i stay with the JDM headers and get a cat that goes from 2.5 to 2.25 (it seems like this would be better if i HAD to get a 2.5 so make it gradually change instead of a imediate .25 change in diameter. Just my guess.) But i think that the 2.25 all the way through will cancel out or maybe even be better then the performance ups of the JDM header.
Someone put in there 2 cents.

i didn't read ur question, but i can basically said that u have to understand what the diameter mean.. All equally diameter through out the complete exhaust system will give u a better flow.. what hp are u goin for??
2-1/4" up to 210HP @ the flywheel (about 180-185 whp)
2-3/8" (60mm) up to 235HP @ the flywheel (about 200-207 whp)
2-1/2" up to 265HP @ the flywheel (about 225-235 whp)
2-3/4" up to 325HP @ the flywheel (about 275-285 whp)
3" big for big HP (Forced Induction: > 275 whp)
** credit to T-I.net**
If u look at the diameter, u could see what horsepower would be good for each diameter. If u're only goin for 180 whp, but get 2.5" whole system, u'll lose some front end power unless u are plannin to add more mods in the future... just for an example. Just get familiar with those diameter because it play the main factor of the whole exhaust system for performance.
I wish superhonda would make alot of sticky threads based on performance just like team-integra so we wouldn't get more questions that already been answers..

I already have 2-1/4 from the cat-back and im not switching it, atleast yet. Please read my question.

hahah okay. i read ur question. so basically u're askin if u want to use ur 2.25" system with 2.5" collector.. i would say it is a bad idea cuz u dont want to start off big to small. u basically want to start from small to big so u wont have any restriction.. so just go from small to big where u wont have any restriction and it will have a small effect on performance..
so if u want to get 2.5" collector header, i would switch to 2.5" all the way.
Unless you plan on doing extream internal build up there is no need for SMSP or Hytec's header. You will have to have huge cams, p&p, high comp pistons to even feel a gain from these higher dollar headers. When you do decide to do an all-motor setup 2.5 collector and 2.5 exhaust would be a necessity to even think about hittin high whp.
DC jdm 2.5 in this case would be more than enough flow for a stock internal car. You can have a custom cat that will have an inlet of 2.5 to 2.25, though it is not ideal with turbulent flow because of the sudden contraction, and find minimal gains. DC jdm header is a good buy that you can use later down the road if you plan on a mild all-motor setup. I know people with the dc jdm peice and they love it, but they all have 2.5 throughout.
heck i would just get a regular dc 4-2-1 for your setup. Save money down the road and replace everything, header w/ 2.5 collector and 2.5 exhaust
