tech wrench HELP!!!!!!!!!

i have a huge problem..i let an idiot help me with my car and now its pretty messed up... well here's my problem... my friend cross threaded my crankshaft bolt and the pulley pretty much was spinning at an angle and worked itself loose..at first i thought he just didn't torque it to spec so i just tightened..well today it got loose again so me and a mechanic looked at it today and when we tried to take the bolt out... it broke off and there is about half of it still in there..i know i can drill it out and rethread it but here's the problem...you guys are familiar with the key weigh (sp?)??? well when the pulley was spinning sideways it was pushing against the key weigh and made an indenture in the crankshaft make the slot about 5 times bigger than it should so now the key weigh would not fit and hold the crankshaft..so not my question is...will a machine shop be able to somehow make the slot for the key weigh the normal size or do i need to buy a new crankshaft...money is tight so i would not like to buy a new crankshaft and all the bearings... so if you guys have any suggestions and i mean anything please help!!!
sorry this is so long but i'm pretty much freaking out right now!!!
by the way it is a b18a block and crank

ouch! see what the machine can do first. i'm pretty sure that they can figure something out. they might give u a bigger key and make the notch on the crank pulley bigger or something. double check with them first and see what u find out.

getting another crankshaft is ok, but taking out the old one out in lieu of another is more labor intensive than u think.

goodluck.
