Help with engine...running on 3 Cylinders

I have a 1991 Acura Integra, only 140,000 miles. My car is running on 3 cylinders and oil is leaking from the oil drain plug. My friend, he's pretty good mechanic says to change the spark plugs. I found the last spark plug wasn't firing. After I changed all the plugs, same problem. Next, he says it could be the Fuel Injectors. I ordered some Venom Injectors and replaced them. I checked the spark plugs and found the last plug burned. Still the same problem. N/E body know what could be the problem? Thanx....

you said you changed your plugs, what about your wires? check your cap and rotor too. You said 1 plug was "burned" meaning melted? black? what?

what exactly do u mean by "running on 3 cylinders?" does that mean u have good 4 cylinders and one of the cylinders is not functioning due to some malfunction? or u messed up one of ur cylinders and is now running on only 3 cylinders?

if ur running on just 3 cylinders an oil leak would be the least of ur worries. u will need to rebuild ur block/engine.

Hey yall. Yeah one of the spark plugs burned (black). The other three were fine. Running on 3 cyliners = one of spark plugs are not firing. Could it be the distributor? I am thinking of getting a compression test for my car at King Motorsports, live close by. See what they say. Future, I want do a engine swap. I want the B18C. King Motorsports says cost about $2,200 for rebulilding the engine, starting. Now driving my dad's gheto ride. Thanx...

pull out the spark plug wire that u think is not firing (while the engine is running). see if there's electricity arcing through. what color/s are the 3 other spark plugs showing. if the other spark plug is black then that means it is running rich.

black = rich, fuel not being burned. = bad ignition component.
Compression test probably won't tell you much.
As I said before, Check your wires with an ohm meter, check your cap and rotor. Check all the connections. Or...throw money at it: buy a new cap and rotor, new wires then clean the fouled plug and try again.
