ok i work at a jap engine importer and get motors at cost. I have a few choices. Im thinking about doing a crv vtec, but cant really afford the whole setup.
however i can get the b16a1 for around 550. or the b20 for around 450. While im waiting to properly build the b20 block selves pistons rods ect witch motor should i put in my car ? is the b16 way to trqless ? some people say that the b16 just dosnt have the trq to drive the integra anyone with experance????? i just dont want to end up running 17 secound quarter miles while im waiting to get the money for the crvtec

Exactly. The B20B is like 126hp and the B20Z is like 148. Big difference between the two. The only physical difference is the compression, which if im not mistaken is because the B20B uses flat top pistons, while the B20Z uses dome pistons.

IM is also different. If we were to run the differences side by side, they would probably be a good list too. But those are pretty muich the only things you'll have to worry about. LOL!

True, but for both B20 engines, you want to run the intake manifold off the old LS anyway.

Yup. B20 manifolds won't fit under an Integra hood. Gotta run LS, which is better for high-end hp anyway (shorter runners).
