Help! What does this mean???

Hello,
I have a 98 gs-r with 71k miles and it has been running great since I got it at 62k miles. Well last night I went to the store and when I went to start it, it started fine but the Maintnentice Required light comes on and flashes 10 times then turns off, what does that mean??? The car runs fine and it still drives like the day I got it, what should I do? If I take it to the dealer will they charge me out the ass to diagnose the problem?
Please Help,
Dan

not really, just to have it checked out would be around 40 bucks at the dealership, all they do is hook it up to a scanner and read the codes

Unless the light stays on the ecu is not throwing any codes. In all acura's and most cars the maintence light comes on after a certain amount of mileage (7500 for acura's). This is for the idot who doesn't know how to take care of their car, like for the dumb ass who doesn't knwo to change their oil. When the light stays on which it will soon, take your hand and follow it down the steering column. Once you reach the end of the paneling you will feel a little button, just hold it down and the light will turn off.

just like what born2speed said, its nothing major at all. when you drive about 7000 after your last maintence, the light will start to blink, then when you hit 7500 it will stay on till you rest it. just look in you manuel and see what gets done around 71k and if its like an oil change or something stupid just rest the light and get it done yourself which is much cheaper
