I bought some air intake/throttle body clearner and the instruction on the can said take off airbox and sprayed into throttle body. HOWEVER, do i have to like gas the car to open up the throttle body and then spray in the clearner when the throttle body is open???????????
If so, how high do I rev the RPM to open up the throttle body and spary the clearner in there?
To open up the throttle body you can just push the lever on the side of the throttle body with the car off. DONT...I repeat DONT have your car on when your cleaning the throttle body.

Yeah, with the car off, push the rotor to hold the throttle butterfly open. Don't spray anything in there. Wet a cloth and wipe it. Chemicals really aren't necessary. The inside of your throttle body doesn't really have hard deposits like valves...

I do it with the engine on then off...
engine on untill it dies...so it really gets deep into the manifold and some gets sucked into the idle air control screw valve...then a few more squirts when it's off... let it sit for a while and start it up...whooo...black smoke for half a block....
