hydraulic clutch?

how do you adjust a hydraulic clutch? my clutch feels the same, but it JUST started getting hard to shift gears. when I let the RPMs drop it shifts fine. Any ideas?

Hey man. You can not adjust a hydro operated clutch. The only thing you can adjust is the clutch pedal itself. But there is no need to adjust the pedal unless you changing the clutch disk or the clutch master cylinder (not even in every case).

correct! as with any clutch install u must use an alignement tool to align the clutch to the flywheel, and such. that is the only way to do any adjustments as far as clutch installation goes.

i doubt it's ur clutch pedal (being loose or tight). since u said that everything feels "the same". when u say that it is harder to shift, does the tranny grind in any gears (3rd especially) when u shift during high rpms?

when was the last time u changed ur tranny fluid?

is ur master cylinder full?

I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering about the last reply. My car kinda clunks and slightly grinds in every gear. It seems its in the gearbox though. The car has done this since the day I rolled it off the lot. Is this my clutch or is it synchros or something?

tranny...

I have not changed my transmission fluid.

That's the other thing...where is the master cylinder? I found the brake cylinders, but not the clutch. Any ideas?

The clutch master cylinder is located just to the right of the brake master cylinder(if you stand with the hood open and looking towards windshield). Don't be confused with brake cylinders at the wheels or calipers! The clutch master cylinder uses the same fluid as the brake master cylinder ,DOT 3 or DOT 4. You can read that on the cap of the reservoir.

And about the transmission fluid, I think the intervals between the fluid change is 50 000km or 60 000. If you driving agressively- shorten the period. The tranny needs only around 2 liters of oil so it wont hurt your pocket a lot, but your tranny would deffinately appreciate that.
