I/H/E...FPR setting
I just got the B&M FPR and Gauge. I put on the B&M gauge, and will put on the FPR possibly tomorrow. But My question is what should I set the PSI once I get the FPR on?
right now it's reading 32 psi. Is this normal for my b18b1?
Right now I have an AEM CAI, DC 4-1 CC Header, CArsound High Flow Cat amd a Tanabe Super Racing Medallion.

Does anyone know?
I would put it through a dyno but I don't have enough mods to put it through a dyno. I'll wait until I have a decent amount of mods to my engine to put it on a dyno for tuning.
but as for now I just want to know where should I set the FPR setting. Right now it's reading 32psi.
Try 34psi, then if the CEL doesn't turn off after an hour or two and you still get the code 45, up it another 1psi.

This may sound like a dumb question (i'm full of questions, but where do i check for a CEL reading? Is it on the ECU? If so, where on the ECU?

Ijust installed my B&M FPR. I wanted to see if the ECU was throwing any codes but I couldn't check it.
I found the blue plug and put a paper clip in both connectors. All that happened was that the CHECK ENGINE liget came on. It didn't flash or blink. It just stayed lit and it went away when I took out the paper clip.
p.s. I put the setting at 40psi w/ vaccum hose.(idle)
is this good?
Oh, I thought you were getting a CEL before. 40psi is probably too much, some people don't even need an FPR with just bolt-ons - raising the FP by 8psi is a 25% increase, which is probably far too much. If you're running really lean or really rich, the CEL will come on. For now I would try 34-35psi and see what happens. Running rich is better than running lean, but you don't want to run excessively rich if you can avoid it. Bolt-ons aren't going to make you run super-lean so I would just put the fuel pressure at about 5% higher than stock, which would be 34-35psi.

The most important thing when doing this mod w/o proper fuel tuning (AFC, Hondata, etc.) is not to get rich at idle. While being lean can hurt your motor in a quick, spectacular fashion, being too rich will cause a slow death by washing the rings.
