I have a 95 integra ls and it is pretty built and i am running without a cat on my exhaust and it has been about a year without the cat and i am noticing a conciderable amount of oil being burned I will go through about a quart every two weeks. i was told by someone that it might be a headgasket but for some reason that doesn't seem right to me. so if there is anyone out there that can give me a definite of what it could be that would be cool.
thanks.
and if anybody is wondering i run a 14.5 or so. also should i turbo it ir install integra type r pistons which are .025 oversized. what do you think will give me more hp or better track times.
Putting a turbocharger with those cams is not a good idea nor is increasing the compression on the turbo. You can increase the compression with your current setup and tuning it would give you more horsepower i.e. better track times . If you want better track times, an aftermarket clutch and flywheel and drag radials would be nice.
you said not to turbo charge it ok. but what about the pistons is that a bad idea also? my goal is to get into the mid 12's and i don't know if that is going to happen if there is a safe (expensive) way please do tell i would like to know.
Yeah it's gonna take a LOT to get to 12's all-motor non-VTEC. It could be done, but it would be a ton of money.
Pistons would get you a nice gain in power all around, but you'd still probably be in the 14's somewhere. But if you could use a rebuild anyway, definitely not a bad way to go.

You have a built motor and now its burning up oil? BUILT, as in only the HEAD? That aint built
Looks like you need to up the compression with a head package like that. Crower 3's in a LS is just overkill....you can make more power with just a nicely tuned LS.
If I were you Id build my car according to how you modded your head. Up the compression and get the bottom end tuned according to your desire

Wow, I'm pretty impressed with that. Do you recall what psi levels they were running?
i am running at about 75 psi at 3,000 rpm i think that is a little high. i know that i have alot of work done but i don't think i should be blowing as much oil as i am
