I need opinions really really badly on what to do especially G2 opinions.
Please all you lurkers that just read the posts, just put in your input. My buddy Ted has a friend with a CRX, I believe his name is Vince, but his CRX ran 13's it has a full body kit bondo'd together to look like a 1 piece kit, but apparently it needs some body work cause the bumpers come off a few times but its all fixable, and it needs paint. Anyway he drove my car and he loves it, he actually thinks its quick, anyway he wants to trade me Chasis, for chasis, I can pull my motor, and everything I want he just wants the shell and he'd trade me his CRX. Heres pics of my car and what I'd be losing if I did this.
These are the most recent pics I have of her, she doesn't have the mudflaps on her anymore and she has JDM sidemarkers now and LS/VTEC, but I'd be keeping the motor and the V-AFC and all that good shit, just trading shell for shell what would you do? And I'm gonna look at his car soon and take pics to put up on here. But I need opinions especially from you G2'ers. BTW will my LS/VTEC motor even fit in a CRX, I don't think the motor would clear the hood.... :

I'm gonna get pics of the CRX hopefully this week and put them up along with the new pictures of my car, anyway I don't have any interior in my car its fully gutted except for 2 seats, I don't even have carpet man. But the CRX won't be too much to look at considering it needs major paint considering the whole car is like primer and bondo gray. : but if I got it I'd fix it up body wise cause I already have a motor that would make the car pretty damn quick.

I know I know, I love my G2 but she's a big fat pig and because of that she needs more power, and in CRX it'd be significantly quicker. :

Hey hey hey buddy, my car is a HB, its just a big fat whale of a HB, but I really love her, but 1800lb CRX with big power is just so tempting that I could actually run N/A and have a quick quick car....

haha i know...i was just kidding...lsvtec in a CRX would be a very nice combination..buy i'd rather stick to being original...i say stick w/ the G2...everyone has either a civic hatch or a crx nowadays..or at least here in southern cali...

If you have a daily driver, go with the CRX for a racer... If this is your daily, then I would stick with it... Im not a big fan of my daily driver also being my racer... Just too much of a hassle... But, from the sounds of it, you either dont mind having your daily be racer, or this is your racer if you have a gutted out interior....

Pretty much any car I come in contact with will end up being my daily driver and race car until it starts making huge gobs of power (soon) lol, but it'll still be street legal and fast. The CRX will be significantly quicker and have more potential than the G2 I have I think sometimes, but then again I don't know how the CRX handles compared to my G2.

Your car is pretty comparable to the CRX in weight....prob about a 200 lb difference at the most. Anyhow, i'm pretty sure you are right about the hood clearance, the JDM dohc vtec CRX's have a cowl effect to the hood instead of the dip in the middle, so it could come up. My buddy has a G2 with a swap and I love that car...but my first car was a CRX si supercharged and it was a little go cart...handles like its on rails.

I saw the CRX tonight up close and personal, didn't snap pics though, the car is all bondoed and primered like I said earlier, the car ran a 13.1 with a mini-me motor and nitrous. I know now that I wouldn't trade my g2 for that chasis, but I would buy it from him, the sideskirt on the drivers side is fastened better than the passengers side, the car if i bought it would just be like it is now with the motor and everything, but I'd have to take the sideskirts off, I'd have to buy new fenders for the front cause they were cut in half for the side skirts to look like it was a 1 piece kit and its all bondoed together, the car honestly has really nice interior in it and what not, but I could make the car shine if I bought it, and I could buy it cheap. so guys I might have a little CRX soon, btw its dropped on SKunk2 Coilovers but it doesn't have a camber kit, but thats no big deal to me really. I honestly like the car, I havn't driven it or ridden in it, but from the looks of it I could buy it make it look good and be a beast. Now time for new opinions, we know that trading my G2 chasis for it is out the window.

Alright!!!
Good man! Don't call the love of your life a whale pig! Fat ones need lovin too! All the guys I roll with have the 88-91 hatch/CRX's and they all would kill for my G2 'tegra. It's just a classic body style. They STILL look good up to this day, if your paint is still in tact...
