the actual removal process is fairly simple. With the A/C you will have to get it drained, but im pretty sure you can just remove the power steering pump and lines without too much hassle.

When doing a engine swap, do you still have to drain the A/C to swap in the motor? How about the P/S? Lets say a B18C into a LS?

My power steering trick is fuckin sick, and I'm a poet and I don't know it....heh...anyway...it leaves the normal power steering rack in the car yet there is no power steering belt or power steering pump, just a tilton reservoir and some little trick I can't remember right this minute. Real-Time Racing used this setup on their ITR's back in the day. When the car is sitting still the steering wheel is pretty fuckin hard to turn...however when the cars rolling 15mph or so you can crank it with one hand just as easily as stock powersteering in a 01 Lude...and thats me comparing my steering setup to my ma's 2001 Lude...and my car is a 1990 Integra LS/VTEC

I would suggest actually taking out the P/S rack and replacing it with a manual rack.

What does a track record have to do with daily driving? It doesn't sound like all he does is race anyways, I would guess it's his daily driver. And it's still a pain in the ass to daily drive without P/S, I know from experience. That's why I am putting mine back in.

And keeping the P/S rack and removing the pump, is just half-assed in my opinion. You have your opinion, I have mine. When you can show me a Integra without P/S and the ability to turn the wheel with one finger from a stop, then I might buy into the idea.

Bleh, none of my cars have powersteering not even my beater and its fine. Shit my EG has absolutley no problem cranking the wheel around with one hand and it has a manual rack in it...its fine its just some people like power steering...I dunno why, maybe its cause they're weak or lazy. My integra how ever you definately need both hands to crank the wheel when sitting still.

Manual steering sucks for Auto-X but it is obviously good for making more power and drag.

the key here cgcivic is that if the car comes with a manual rack then so be it, but if you remove the hydraulic lines from a powered rack, you will destroy the rack. if you replace it with a manual rack then yes the ratio is diffrent and easier to turn. do it right and replace it with a manual rack.

just a question
why are you removing your ps. for the minimal if not minute gains in hp you will free up, it is not worth it.
