i'm in need of some desicive advise
i haven't been on here in awhile since my teg was stolen. but now i'm looking to get another one in a couple of months but i can't decide what i want to go with. i'm either going to get a teg shell (jdm gsr motor) or a rsx type s. if i go with the shell project i'll not have a car for a little while but that's fine. the rsx, well it just looks clean, and i like the way they look. sorry if the post was kind of long, but thanks for all feedback

dude, this is kind of a weird question. Go with whatever you will be happier with. The only thing the rsx has that the teg won't, will be the k motor. That's it. How long would it take you to get the shell and the jdm gsr swap? Have you ever done a swap yourself or anything? If not, I'd probably go that route, so you can improve on your mechanical knowledge...if you like that sort of thing though...

well with the rsx it was kinda like it's newer and all that. the shell build will take as long as it'll take for me to get the motor here. i know with how much i could get an rsx type s for i could build a faster teg. but i like the way both cars look and feel. that's why i'm undecided.

you might be happier with the shell build. that's just what I think though. I like the rsx, but to me it isn't all it's cracked up to be. And I'd rather build a 2g teg...

i hear you, but he would be starting with a k motor.. it has alot of potential, and responds well to mods,
but you are correct on the other hand where it might be more enjoyable to go with the teg build. i guess it really comes down to that.

I personally think that the only GOOD thing about the rsx is the fact that it has a motor with newer and better technology...and the fact that it's NEWER overall...but I just don't know. I guess I'm looking at it from a financial standpoint. As well as taste. I think they look like girl cars too much...mainly bc all I ever see are girls driving them. But I know they aren't bad cars. I was, however...disappointed with the 05 rsx-s I test drove.

This coming from a man who drives a Del Sol...
A shell buildup is a fun job for sure! and you can do lots of things to the engine during the buildup to make it strong/fast.
A rsx-s is fun to work with and yeah the K does respond well to mods.
I have an 02 with I/H/E and dyno'd 195whp/wtq this weekend and just ran the track 14.29@98mph. Its all on what you got time for and what you want to do man.
Good luck.

Fortunately for me, I've never seen a chick drive a sol. Your comment still isn't going to change my mindset on the rsx.

I don't get it...
maybe I didn't word that correctly, but either way...all I ever see are GIRLS driving rsx's and guys driving del sols...get over it. I don't live where you do, things are different from state to state. Or did you think things were the same EVERYWHERE? Kind of RETARDED of you to think such a thing if that's the case.
