When you install a LOUD system into an integra, like 2 JL W7's in a vented box, would there be a lot of rattle? Do you think the glass would crack on the third door? Would it push out while driving? And finally, would it be possible to dynamat the trunk? I know you cant dynamat the third door because u cant cover up the glass, you need it to look out of. Thanks.
WEll I mean to crack it alittle. I am considering buying 2 JL W7's and sending 1000 watts to each. Or maybe I'll get an Orion sub, and send 2000 watts to it. Since integra's are hatchback, would it create absurb amounts of rattling?

all you need is dynomat especially on the license plate, i have one 12 and since the car is a hatch it drops hard, with 2 your gonna get motion sickness, awsome. :clap
Hatches don't rattle as much as a trunk would. I used to have 2 12" subs in my Dx civic and it rattled and my buddy had 2 !2" subs in his RSX and it didn't rattle as much and his sytem was louder that mine.
You do realize his W7 are on another level... be it on the loud side and probably unnecessary for good music... anyways, I think the hatches dont rattle as much as the trunk in the 4 door integra. But there will be rattle no doubt. You can dynamat the trunk by takin off the plastic, its held on by clips so... you could possibly dynamat the plastic too.
Those newer cars, the rsx and the new civic si are built different, I think they dont rattle as much as the older cars we drive (integras)

True that, but those Rockfords are some nice subs.

just fyi it doesn't matter how many speakers you have in your hatch... 1 12" in the right box will be just as loud if not louder than any 2 you can squeeze in your trunk... You will have to be pushing 160+ db to come close enough to worry about your window cracking. Not sure if you have been to any SPL competitions lately but that is a lot of power! In the hatch you are NEVER going to get rid of your rattles. Dynomat is great but it in no way eliminates all of the rattles... Your license plate is definitely a good place to start. On a Teg the rear window wiper will bounce like crazy if you have enough bump. The endless amount of plastic in the car will always vibrate regardless of how many hours you spend trying to pin point every spot. If you have a spoiler you have one more thing to worry about. I never got my spoiler to stop. Good luck, if you can't tell I have spent MANY MANY hours working on my competition setup... 1 12" sub with around 1000 watts in a hatch will be amazing loud with the right setup. Have fun!
