Integra Dash

The piece of plastic on the dash holding the center climate control/consold thing in place broke. the center console likes to slide out and fall out of place when i drive hard. the plastic is part of the dash so i cant really "replace" it. any ideas how i can resecure my center consold climate control thing?

theres like a strip of plastic that goes across the dash when you take out the climate controls out. that strip of plastic moutns the climate controls to the dash so it doenst fall out. that piece of plastic broke and now the climate control console thing lieks to fall outta the hole in the dash. i need to somehow rig another piece that goes across the opening of the dash for the climate contorls to mount it back.

if you take out the center climate control console, you need to remove 2 screws that are bolted to your actual dashboard. it is right behind the hazard and defrost buttons. the climate control consol that mounts to a strip of plastic running accross the opening of the dash. the strip of plastic (dash) broke. now i have to figure out a way to make my climate control console stay put. there are 2 numbs of plastic and some how i need to fab something for hte console to bolt onto.

Which part#?

Because your description should really be accompanied by a PIC or diagram, the more you try to explain it the more people will have trouble envisioning it:

I know I added extra PICS but, it will also give you an idea of where things you removed came from and exactly what might have broken and "IF' you need a whole new dash.

Good luck,

A.

On the second picture diagram, you seen the actual dash and the opening where the climate control cluster goes into. Inside that opening you see a strip of plastic running accross it. That piece broke and my climate control cluster cannot be fastened down. I know if i wanted to replace that piece i would need a whole new dash. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to fabricate a piece that would bolt to the plastic and run accross the opening and allowing me to fastened down my climate control cluster once again. Any bright ideas on how i would come about accomplishing this? Thanks
