so i raced my friend bone stock nothing in my car right when i got it and i beat him then about 1 month later i have a injen intake and a subwoofer in my car so a little heavier, and he gets a k&n drop in filter then we race and he beats my by like 3 feet up to like 90mph so could it be my intake sucks! or his intake is good! or the weight from my sub made the difference i mean it weighs about 75 pound total
The 75lbs will have an effect, but not more than driver skill. 3 feet means the outcome could go either way any time. But anyways, keep it on the dragstrip eh?

haha corolla is what? 1.5 with 100hp to the crank stock, no way it should beat a teg, I say tune up your teg and get some nice NGK iridiums and wires and try again, a fresh oil change always Improved my performance.

Maybe it was an XRS with the 'XR' part of the badge removed....still only 170bhp, and heavier than a teg...so wouldn't be a blow out.

A Corolla S is a 1.8L 126hp, 122lb/ft tq. It's enough to beat a worn down, aged b18b.
This is exactly why I don't frequent SHO so much anymore. Street racing Corollas. I'd like to think we're above that.
