Integra-RSX comparo
I know the RSX is newer and the engineering might be more advanced, but how does the 2001 GSR compare overall to the 02'RSX. Maybe someone who has driven both can tell me pros and cons to both cars, im just curios because the RSX replaced the integra and thats my favorite car.
hey man im just givin u a hard time. ive driven both. as impressive as the rsx is in TYPE S form, ill take a gsr any day. the engine response, steering response, and the suspension feel especially after modification is just perfect. i think the macpherson struts are a complete joke. however, after basic bolt ons a gsr will get beaten by an rsx type s. it just responds phenomenally to tuning.
so in short a stock 2001gsr to a stock 2002 rsx base model? gsr. more power at all levels, i think the gearing is better but shift feel on rsx is crisper. top end pull is much more noticeable on the gsr where down low an rsx seems peppier.
stock 2001 gsr to a stock 2002 rsx type s? gsr imo. and for this reason. take the two of them at normal speed through a cloverleaf style highway on/off ramp. cant really notice much. little more body roll in a gsr. now attack the same turns. the gsr just feels "smarter" in a corner. it reacts exactly the way you want it to. the rsx feels like its going to punish you if you make a mistake. the differental is rediculous. the gsr is more forgiving if you misjudge something.
now a person tidbid. ive heard both models with just aem intakes. there is NOTHING like the sound of a b-series honda motor at full scream especially on a vtec engine. hehe. thats just me. hope that helps man.

Car: 2000 Integra GSR (stolen) =(
Mods:
between the two i'd still get a GSR IMO..just because i've driven the two and while i do love the RSX (gotta love the crisp shifter) i would still get the GSR mainly because of the body style, cost of parts (RSX stuff is $$$$), etc.
regardless either are good, but i'd swing in the GSR (or possibly a type r if you're going to really supe it up)..etcetc..
depending on your budget and how you want to mod it..it's up to you..personally i say go out and test drive them both and see what you like...good luck!

This is just a small detail, but the main thing I like about the RSX over any Integra is the steering and steering wheel. It feels much tighter and more responsive like a german car would. And the steering wheel is leather wrapped and smaller, which feels a lot sportier. Integra steering and steering wheel just feels generic, like a civic or accord. But thats just something I notice IMO. Otherwise, besides the type-s motor, i like everything about the Integra better. Looks, more expensive projector headlights and double wishbone suspension, and lets not forget a center console ARMREST that the RSX does not have.

Iceman GSR told me precisely what I wanted to hear, thanks for everyones input but even if you told me the GSR was a peice of shit and the RSX was way better I would still buy one.
*SMACK* been covered in great detail already. better search before crvtecownsjoo sees this lol.
Yes I am the nazi mod.
Anyway, I'd take the RSX-S over any GSR because it has 6 gears, is better looking than a DC2 (unless it has JDM 1 pieces) and K-series power is the way to go.

Wasn't there pics up here recently showing a k20 swap in a dc2, i actually thought alex posted but I could be wrong.
Yep you can do it, they have kits now. And the K20 swap is a 6-speed.
