Howdy. Well, the Type R rear shocks won't fit on your LS, you need the Type R rear lower control arms, which I think Password JDM sell for $85 or $100 a set, I forget which. It would ride pretty nice, and lower it 0.5". The Type R shocks are 115% firmer compression and 70% firmer rebound, which is a pretty good increase, but the springs are only 22% firmer front and rear.
If you want a not-too-low ride height and decent ride, but a little more aggressive than ITR, I highly recommend my setup - the Neuspeed Sofsports are the same rate as the Sports despite the "Sof" prefix, and the Tokicos are a similar damping rate as the Type R shocks. The H&R OE Sports are similar to the Neuspeeds but about 30% stiffer, I wish I went with those but it's not a big deal, mine are still pretty firm and stiff enough especially with swaybars. The Neuspeed and H&R's also have an increased stiffness in rear over front than stock, which essentially means that you'll understeer less than with stock or Type R springs.
Spring rates:
Spring Front Rear
Stock 212lb/in 117lb/in
Type R 246 140
Neuspeed 250 185
H&R 276 220
I like the idea of still having decent suspension travel for the shitty roads around here and for autocross (the ones I do are often pretty darn bumpy), and I also want a decent ride for taking girls out.

But for my money the Type R springs just aren't aggressive enough, the shocks are good but if you're going through the trouble of swapping this stuff out, I would just go a little further and get something a little stiffer. I think the way my suspension is set up now is the way the car should have come stock, but of course 40-year old moms won't think that way. It's a great balance of a nice ride (no one has ever complained about the bumpiness except my parents, and that was only like once or twice), good firmness, and it lowers just enough for it to look right.
