JDM Engine Swap+Passing Emission

I want to swap a jdm h22 or a type r motor into my 94 ls, but i need to pass emission, any ideas or quidance on how i could do so.

you wouldnt have any problems passing emissions i dont think

it depends on where you're from. if you're in california....good luck. they normally won't pass jdm engines. it's been done before, but there aren't a large number of success stories.

my brother put a JDM gsr motor into his teg and it passed, just dont use the JDM intake manifold because it will fail smog miserably. the JDM IM's will never pass cali smog emissions. use a USDM IM and u should be fine, also make sure that u have a strong cat, good ignition wires, good timing, and plugs. my teg just passed smog after the 3rd try, MSD 8MM WIRES BLOW!!!!

usually, if the engine is older than the car it wont pass (talking about 96 up cars running an 0bd-1 ecu).
