Leaky windows, broken rear defr, no a/c Questions? - Honda Forum / Acura Forum

Originally when I bought my Integra LS-S, I was going to use it as a beater until I could afford a Z-28. I didnt plan on keeping it for much longer then 5000 miles. However, Ive decided Id rather get a new bike (2005 YZ125), so the Z28 wont be happening soon, plus im pretty happy with my teggy. Problem is, the front and rear windows leak, I have no rear defrost, and my ac is caput. Im not concerned about the AC.. the windows work fine. But I cant drive in the rain without defrost and leaky windows. Whats involved in fixing this, and what would I be looking at for it to be fixed at a shop?

most likely the rubber seals around the window edges are messed up. new ones should fix the problem. i've tried getting those from parts stores but i couldnt find them so the dealer was the only option. before you go out and buy new ones make sure you check your old ones for cracks, missing pieces or see if they're hard/britlle.

for the rear defrost check the connections to the window and also check those lines that go from side to side. if they're scratched the defrost will not work. i dont know if there's a fuse for the rear defrost but if there's is one you should check it and also the switch.

is the AC charged? does the compressor engage when you turn it on? do you have a belt on?

Welcome to the wonderful word of owning a 90-93 Integra. Mine does the same thing. For the A/C, spend the cash and get it checked out. The leaky windows, I have it. Some water accumulates on my passenger side floor. That has to do with some seals on the cowl that just get old and crusty. Go on g2ic.com and you'll see some pointers for that.

Yeah, new rubber should do it. When I got my teg, I was amazed at how the window doesn't roll all the way up to the roof. It seems like it would leak if you hit it with the hose at the wrong angle, but that hasn't happened to mine so far.
