Lighting problems...

Ok, i dunno whats wrong...

I checked the lines for my headlights...actually...the foglights in the G2 Integra. They dont turn on..i want them all to turn on when i turn my lights on, but they dont even go when i turn on my highbeams..what could be the problem? The bulbs have been replaced too..

Any suggestions fellas?
Thanks.

you have tried the button on the dash, right? sorry i know it may seem like a dumb question, but a lot of people don't know at first that there's a different switch for the fogs. btw they will only come on when the headlights are on.

if that's not the case, have you messed with them in any way? did the previous owner maybe? if you don't know, there's a way to rewire them so that the headlights don't have to be on to have the fogs on, and i'm wondering if you or they tried or did the mod, because there's always the possibility of a loose connection.

the wires are pretty easy to get to behind the foglight assembly, especially if you loosen that one screw on the inside of it. i'm guessing your problem is with a fuse, the switch, or some wiring though if neither comes on. the switch pops out of the dash pretty easily with a flathead screwdirver if you want to check back there.

hth.. also i'd suggest checking out www.g2ic.com if you haven't already.

Start with the under dash fuse see if its blown. The foglights only work when your headlight is on and there is a switch to turn it on your console.

If that doesn't work, unplug the foglight connector (right on the headlight assembly) and take a multimeter see if it's getting power when your headlights and the fog switch on, b/c it could be a wiring problem too.

problem solved

thanks alot LOL. I never knew the button the console was it. The lights work fine...but they shine in a reall wierd manner. Like a dome effect. the light goes around in a dome, it shines on trees n' such as i drive at night. Maybe the bulbs are crooked or something, i guess ill check them again. Do they shine like that? I dunno...i'll go check. But thanks a lot for the help guys!
