Lost Wheel Lock

I cant find my wheel lock key.
What are my options?
I dont have the key number since I bought the car used a few years ago. Should I go to the Acura dealership?
Any input would be great, thanks...

Try the dealer. If they can't help you there, just go to some lame old used tire shop and ask them to take it off for you. I had it done before. They just used a large socket and hammered it in. Now that the socket it stuck on top of the nut, they use an air gun to reverse it out.

WARNINNG!! This is very ghetto style, but it works.

you aint seen getto yet....lol.....my friend has a 94 VW corrado and one nite he had a flat so he took it to this place and they fixed his flat but they tightened the bolts (as some of you might know VW cars use bolts that go inside the hub) so much that we stripped the lock. so we took it to a junk yard and they tried to put the larger socket on top of it and hammer it but it didnt even budge. the dude fucked up like 3 sockets. then he took a long bolt and weld it on the wheel lock then he took an air gun and tried to take it off. it didnt come out very easy, but it finally gave in.

Go to a hardware store, ask for a lugnut wrench, probably near the biggest one they have, ask to test it out real quick run to your car see if it fits, if not get a different size...shouldn't be that hard most places have something for the size of the bolt.

Sounds like you Don't know what the OEM wheel locks even look like.

CivhatchX,,, since you Don't have the lock number, You could go to a Dealer and they may have the key OR they could try to match or order a key.

I personally hate those things, and took mine off soon after I got the car ,"didn't pay for 'em." Besides, its a royal PITA to use the locks and key at the track. I already have to swap on wheels AND use different lugnuts.

Contact the dealership is your best bet OR you could contact the maker of the lugnuts McGuard I believe.

Worse comes to worse, you could Go to a garage or tire shop and they may can use a bolt/lock remover BUT, this usually ruins the lock and even this sometimes doesn't work.

Good luck,

A.

Ya just go to the dealership. If they are the stock lugs they will have a master set and match the right one up for you.

If your in the same situation as I am and a shop broke the aftermarket tuner key then recieved a new key, then broke the locking lug on the outside, then had to order a special tool for a $100.00 deposit. Then it sucks to you be you, wait me.

McGuard I think is a great lock. Just dont let anyone touch them, or it turns to shiet.

Pretty much impossible to get off unless you have a key or want to screw up your rims. I think I have tried 6 different ways to remove them and nothing worked. GL on your key removal and dont let any shops tighten your lugs unless they tighten it by hand. Kick them upside the arse if they even come close to your car with a impact wrench. Next time I see someone with a impact to my wheels I'm going to bitch slap them upside the head and say what the fuck are you doing.
