ls cams??
who makes the best ls cams? that are not reground and peak at about 7500 rpms?:
Yeah definitely. I may be biased but not this time....Crower 62403's (Stage 2) are what you need, they peak at about 7500rpm too. Great bang for your buck at $350 shipped on group buy center . com

did they make a big difference!??like describe it to me? did u upgrade the valve train to?
Hells yes they made a difference. By themselves they don't do a lot, but they tend to sort of amplify any other mods you do. With just the cams, gears preliminarily set at +2 -2, no resonators on the intake, an FPR and exhaust, I got a 15.68 on my very first run at the track, about the same as what stock GS-R's would get. I probably could have gotten below 15.5 but I only got 3 runs.
I didn't upgrade the valvetrain because the Crower rep and a buncha other respected tuners that a guy on this board talked to said you could get away without as long as you kept the stock redline. Since the fuel cut is at 7200-7300rpm and the cams stop making power at 7500rpm or so, there's no urgent need to raise the limit, and you can bring the power curve downward (rpm wise) with cam gears.
I definitely recommend a B&M FPR along with the cams, it runs a lot better and gets better power, and I haven't even gotten it on a dyno yet. By the butt dyno, I can honestly say that I don't feel any loss of low-end, especially once the new exhaust and other mods are added in. Midrange is better, but from 5500 to redline there is a surge that was never there before. Very nice. It's still not hold-on-to-your-pants fast, but it's pleasantly quick. I'm getting a header, cat and dyno-tuning and I'll be done. Hopefully I'll run a 15.0, maybe under who knows.
The cams make the engine run a little rich at idle, but nothing an S-AFC or Hondata won't fix. The idle in mine varies on what my cam gears and FPR are set at, but usually my idle is steady, only dipping down low in stop-n-go and parking situations, never ever in normal driving like on the street. Since I got the exhaust, it's stalled once. Not bad, you just have to pay a little more attention to your revs in parking lots, no biggie. I love the fluctuating idle anyway. Sounds sexy with the exhaust..... Anyway, hope that all helped. These cams are awesome, just don't expect to get just the cams and be happy, you're gonna want to do at least FPR and some i/h/e action, probably some cam gears too.

ohhhh cool man thanx for taken time to tell me about it they sound really cool!!!wow so it sounds like ur high rpm power is what was really incresed thats awesome
Yeah if you go to Crower's website it shows an LS with i/h/e and I think ignition, before and after the cams. It's about the same until 5500, then it jumps up 10-15hp and stays that much higher to redline (6900). And that's without an FPR and cam gears, both of which, when tuned, can yield decent gains.

Actually I just checked their website and the redlines used on the dyno were 7200 and 7400.

Yeah, the Crower 403's are awesome. If you have the money, do it right though and get an FPR, gears, and SAFC and get it all dyno tuned at once. You'll love it.
