That sounds like it may be your ECU throwing an error code. Are you trying to pull the error codes from your ECU or just starting your car as you always do? I just learned how to pull the error codes from the ECU, but I had to jump the diagnostic port to get the check engine light to start blinking the codes. I wonder if your car blinks the codes without having to jump the port.

Could be,

Intake Air Temperature Sensor

Short or open in AIT circuit, bad AITS

But,

Was it 10 short blinks or were any of the blinks long? Like a "dash"

A long blink equals 10 a short blink equals 1. So, pay attention and then check the chart that I left you a link to.

I'd say do a search, but it looks like that's still down.

He said Maintenance Light, not Check Engine.

Don't worry, everyone's does that.

Try this (didn't work for me, but it might for you):

Or this (didn't work either):

I just took mine in to Acura and had the oil changed... problem solved.

the maintenance light is set to go off after so many miles (i forget the exact number) to remind you to do maintenance. it's no big deal. go get your car serviced and they will reset it for you. you can even reset it yourself.
