MANT REQD

After installing the AEM CAI on my 98TegGS w/ 62K miles, the MANT REQD light came on. Nothing seems wrong, car runs fine, even better with the cai but the light is annoying me. What could this be?

ur car could require maintenance! actually, the maintenance required light is set at a certain amount of mileage. for example, lets just say every 7000 miles, the maintenance required light will come up on your dash. when it shows the first time, you should see it flash a couple of times when you start ur car, and then after awhile it will just stay lit until you actually have someone reset the maintenance required light. i think there's a button under the dash somewhere.

OBDII cars will download an error code if the ECU is having a problem. Any standard OBDII code reader can pull it. The code will be a number that will give you a general idea of the problem when you look it up in a table. If you do a search in Tech on codes, you will probably find more info. on how to do it.

Good luck with your project.

Maint. reset button is below the drivers side dash where your right knee would be.
