Motegi MR7's

I was thinking of getting some 17in motegi MR7's for my 94 LS. they weigh in at about 24 lbs each. Is this to heavy and will they slow me down. If they will, then how much will they slow me down by. Thanx

that's too heavy for me. i'd look for something in the 15 lb range.

hehe, would we all want a rim that weighs 15 pounds! The Motegi MR7 does look fairly nice,
here's a pic of them on an Integra

if you wanst something a little lighter try the Konig Tantrum, looks exactly the same as the MR7 but is about 19.5 lbs for a 17" rim

Yes, that is heavy...

Yes, your acceleration will suffer.

By how much is unknown.

And it's not all about the weight that will slow you down but, also the fact that they are 17's which will actually provide a slightly higher top speed but, bigger diameter means more to roll on.

It's all up to you with what you want and the looks of the car.

IMHO, I keep my diameter Stock and get the lightest wheel tire combo that I can find.

And there ARE light 17" wheels But, you will PAY for them... Such is Life and having your cake and eating it too.

Good luck,

A.
